Let AI Handle the Mundane While You Focus on the Strategic

We talk a lot about what AI can do, but what we don't talk about enough is how it frees us up to focus on what's really important.
Indulge me for a moment while I talk about how hard we had it in my day and how building software has completely changed... I'm working on this little app and it is WILD to just tell the agent in Cursor, "hey, how about we add some sign in, sign up and account management stuff to this?"
Most people can't appreciate how much this used to suck or how amazing it is now. The hours, days, weeks, months poured into projects for responsive web sites, account management flows and other table stakes features that were never strategic but absolutely necessary.
No project with AI have I ever needed to request responsiveness, for instance. I was shocked one night months back to realize something I'd built had dark mode built-in. Yesterday, this agent banged out account management for me, and while I had to install a database and a development mail server and set some configs, I did that alone in under an hour. It walked me through every step.
There was a bug in the first pass. (To be fair, there are likely more.) I simply reported I'd created an account but couldn't login. It responded, "Oh, I see what's happening. The hashed password isn't being stored, there's no place in the db to store the password, and the code isn't even trying to compare the password on login. Oopsie! My bad! Let me fix that."
The real breakthrough isn't in having AI write code. It's in reclaiming your attention for the problems actually worth solving.
